How can we make sense of this senseless tragedy? How can we cope with the loss of such a precious life? How can we honor Chloe’s memory and legacy? These are the questions that haunt us as we grieve for Chloe, who was taken from us too soon by a ruthless killer. A killer that lurks in the shadows, disguised as something else. A killer that preys on the innocent, the unsuspecting, the trusting. A killer that goes by the name of Fentanyl.
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroin. It is cheap to make and easy to mix with other drugs. It is often added to heroin, cocaine, meth, and pills without the user’s knowledge. It is a silent assassin, that can stop a person’s breathing in minutes. It is a public health crisis that claims more than 150 lives every day in the U.S. It is a deadly threat that does not discriminate between addicts and non-addicts, young and old, rich and poor.
Chloe was not an addict. She was a beautiful, talented, kind-hearted girl who had a bright future ahead of her. She made a mistake that anyone could have made. She trusted someone who betrayed her. She took a pill that looked harmless but was laced with fentanyl. She did not know what she was taking, and she did not stand a chance.
We cannot bring Chloe back, but we can learn from her story. We can educate ourselves and others about the dangers of fentanyl and other drugs. We can test our drugs with fentanyl test strips and carry naloxone in case of an overdose. We can seek help if we struggle with substance use disorder and support those who do. We can advocate for harm reduction policies and practices and fight against the stigma and criminalization of people who use drugs. We can be kind and compassionate to ourselves and others and spread the love that Chloe embodied.
Chloe was a self-made star who shone brightly in this world. She touched many lives and left a lasting impact. She was full of life, full of love, and loved by so many. She will always be in our hearts, and we will always miss her. Rest in peace, Chloe. You are gone but never forgotten. 💜
The Chloe Ann Memorial Foundation is a nonprofit organization that aims to end the fentanyl crisis and spread kindness in the world. We are inspired by Chloe, a bright and beautiful young woman who lost her life to fentanyl poisoning. We honor her memory by empowering and inspiring others to make a positive difference in their communities and beyond. We partner with local and national organizations to raise awareness, educate, and prevent fentanyl-related harms. We offer scholarships and mentorship programs to support students who embody Chloe’s values and aspirations. We organize events and campaigns that promote kindness, compassion, and generosity. Our mission is to create a safer and happier world for everyone.
Hi, I’m Traci, Chloe’s mom and the founder of the Chloe Ann Memorial Foundation. I'm a single mom, a Business Analyst, entrepreneur, and am a passionate advocate for ending the fentanyl crisis and spreading kindness in the world. I started this foundation in memory of my daughter Chloe, who was my everything. She was a bright, beautiful, and loving young woman who had so much to offer the world. She was taken from us by a fentanyl poisoning, a tragedy that I never want anyone else to experience. I decided to turn my grief into action, and to honor Chloe’s life and legacy by creating a positive impact in her name. I want to raise awareness, educate, and prevent fentanyl-related harms, and to support those who are struggling with addiction, grief, and mental health. I also want to inspire others to be kind, compassionate, and generous, just like Chloe was. I believe that kindness is the most powerful force in the world, and that it can heal, transform, and uplift anyone and anything. I hope you will join me in my mission and help me in Chloe's legacy.
Hi, I’m Nicole, Chloe’s bonus mom and the co-founder of the Chloe Ann Memorial Foundation. I’m a nurse and a passionate advocate for fentanyl awareness and kindness. I became a part of Chloe’s family when I married her uncle, and I instantly fell in love with her. Her uncle and I helped Traci raise her since she was only 2 years old, and watched as she grew into such a smart, beautiful, and caring young woman with a bright future ahead of her. I decided to join Traci, Chloe’s mom, in creating this foundation to honor Chloe. I want to help others who are facing the same challenges that Chloe, and to prevent more lives from being lost to fentanyl. I also want to encourage others to be kind, compassionate, and generous like Chloe. I hope you will support us in our mission and help us keep Chloe’s spirit alive.
Hi, I’m Kenzie, Chloe’s sister and the social media manager for the Chloe Ann Memorial Foundation. I’m a nurse's aide and a passionate activist for fentanyl awareness and kindness. I lost my sister Chloe, and it changed my life forever. She was my best friend, my role model, and my inspiration. I miss her daily, and I want to honor her memory by sharing her story and love with the world. I manage the social media accounts for the foundation, where I post updates, events, resources, and stories related to our cause. I also share memories of Chloe, and how she touched so many lives with her kindness and generosity. I hope to connect with other people who have been affected by fentanyl, and to create a community of support, compassion, and hope. I believe that social media can be a powerful tool for raising awareness, educating, and preventing fentanyl-related harms, and for spreading kindness and positivity. I hope you will follow us on our social media platforms and join us in our mission. Together, we can make a difference in honor of Chloe.
